Overview:
Our Crew Members are the heart of Quesadilla Gorilla! We're all about Peace, Love, and Dillas, and that starts with creating a fantastic experience for our guests. As a Crew Member, you'll provide authentic hospitality, craft delicious quesadillas, and even have the opportunity to work catering off-site events.
Crew Member 1s work a variety of shifts based on your availability and store needs. Your main duties include taking orders, preparing quesadillas, packaging orders, and handling payments. Secondary duties involve ingredient prep, opening/closing, and maintaining a clean environment.
The kitchen, dining area, and bathrooms need to be kept spotless. The work environment can be fast-paced, so you'll need to be adaptable and efficient, switching between tasks quickly. Customer satisfaction is key, and your role will be vital in ensuring every guest has a great experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately take orders and handle payments.
- Prepare food, adhering to all food safety guidelines.
- Clean your workstation during downtime.
- Follow recipes precisely for consistent quality.
- Collaborate with management to resolve customer issues.
- Prepare and cook quesadillas according to instructions (kitchen display screens or verbal); verify order accuracy.
- Multitask, managing several orders simultaneously, while meeting customer requests and company standards.
- Maintain sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards in food prep areas, cooking surfaces, and with dishes/utensils.
- Provide menu information and suggestions, including drinks, food items, and explanations of ingredients and preparation.
- Assist with food prep as directed, operating food production equipment.
- Operate flattop grill and fryer.
- Maintain, clean, and sanitize workstations.
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other containers.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including catering at off-site events.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read and follow instructions.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of sanitation and safety regulations (or ability to learn quickly).
- Basic understanding of food handling, preparation, and cooking procedures (or ability to learn quickly).
- Ability to work efficiently and quickly.
- Team player.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to operate cooking and food preparation equipment.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Prior quick service food service experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged standing and walking.
- Ability to access and navigate all areas of the restaurant and off-site catering venues.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures (kitchen environment).
Skills and Requirements:
Fast food experience isn't always necessary; a willingness to learn and adapt is key.
Minimum Requirements:
- 16 years old.
- Ability to speak the primary language of the location.

Working Hours:
- Primarily part-time (20-30 hours/week).
- Occasional full-time opportunities (up to 40 hours).
- Overtime may be required.
- Closing shifts may extend slightly past scheduled time.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced food service environment. Requires standing for extended periods, working in close proximity to others, and comfort working in a hot environment. Repetitive motions, stooping, reaching, and lifting (up to 30 pounds during deliveries) are common. This also includes working at off-site catering events.
